As I watch you sleep,
I pray that you won't be beat.
That everyday will be a win never a loss.
that you will never be betrayed or crossed.
I want to protect you from it all
and keep you safe in my arms.
Though you may grow big and tall,
you will always be my baby girl.
I will defend you to the end
and protect you from harm and sin.
I'll teach you right from wrong,
but still I know I can't fight it all.
One day something may be
that I couldn't protect you from,
because I couldn't see.
That's life I know.
and everyday I will watch you grow.
I'lI will do my best to
love you with all my heart.
and hope that I gave you
a running start.

I was watching my daughter sleep when I thought of this. Kids always have a way of touching your heart.

Very relatable to with all the
mums out there. I am a mum as you
know. Kids do have a way of touching
