The eyes of the moon
set deep in gray lunar craters,
turn focus through random puffs
of cloud mist, illumining lovers,

solitary dreamers, hopeful believers
and skeptical deceivers, beckoning
with hypnotic beams, drawing soul
to soul for the moment of reckoning.

Lightning ignites thunderous crescendos,
shivering spines, awaking desires,
spelling possibilities across the skies,
re-birthing the moon and you--now--sparking fires.

Prompt:

the moon birthed
right before us
as we stared
doe-eyed at the sky
softness knotted upon
tongues longing
to touch with love
yet tied with silence

I love the graphic! The moon emanates such tremendous and wonderful energy and I think you've captured it perfectly in your art and in your words.

Now...there is no time like the present and each new or rebirthed moon offers us fresh opportunity if we fan the sparks to flame.

    Wonderful Aes.

Why do I still see Jackie Gleason's face when I look at the moon? lol

Penny Singleton? Was that her name, the main Blondie? Arthur Lake? Or is that someone else, I guess I could look it up.

        You are right! with both.

A re-run of Murder She Wrote was airing and I heard
a familiar voice.....there she was, Penny Singleton.
One never forgets the voice---which also rarely changes!!!

I think it's cool when you see some old star you haven't seen in years. Shows Like "Murder..." and "The Love Boat" were good for that. I remember seeing Van Johnson on loveboat.

Angela--Jessica had them together on "Murder She Wrote."
It was good to see them both again--Van as an inventor.
Angela was known for giving roles to those no longer in their
hey day. While in her early Hollywood days she was was usually
a supporting actor, but she certainly has longevity, outshining
those with whom she had appeared in films! Just saw her in a
            public service cmmercial for ALS.

Hah! The mooner, himself, shining high!
Perhaps the ghosts of those who have
gone before, that Yem and I were bubbin'
about the other day, George and Gracie,
Bud and Lou, William and Myrna, Bob

Yes, that continued renewal of the orb

for mine has a Gleason personality.

Fopr years and years I have been struck with
the casual approach that is taken for the food
supply....and then the shorting of resources
during the bush admin. to the agencies that
check incoming, quality, etc. I practically bowed
to the huge tomatoes coming from the farmers'
market, and to the city grown huge ones I found
in the store. My earthboxes do well with the
small varieties---romas, sweet 100 cherry tomatoes.

Farmers faced with so many obstacles...mother nature, regulations, labor issues, and the list goes on and on.

Jersey Beefstake tomatoes are like no other. Gigantors. One slice takes up a whole piece of bread. Yum.

More varieties are doing well in containers. Didn't get to plant my "As Seen on TV" Topsy Turvy Tomato hanger this year. Supposed to be able to grow larger varieties in it. Will have to wait til next year.

                Pix over and out. Nite.

        Just occasional rain here, Mumsy...

but not too heavy, unlike last weekend.
Our area did not suffer much compared to other areas in Quezon City and other cities in Metro Manila. Though, we had been flooded inside our home, after the rain stopped, the flood subsided fast. We encountered also electric power interruption for 2 and half days at home cuz the flood came out inside the electrical socket inside my son's bedroom as well as mine, so I need to turn off the main switch and wait for the electrician after 2 and half days.
All is well at the moment... the second super typhoon did not do any damage here (Metro Manila). I don't know yet in other areas and provinces.

    The prompt, it's very, umm---romantic ---

    "and skeptical deceivers"

You just can't try to dismiss naysayers by lumping us under the control of the moon! We deny that the moon has such powers, lol

The moon moves the tides and allows for navigation...those hearts that beat at it's appearance, they need a good physical check-up for it's not the moon doing it...it's an irregular heart beat, lol

Yep, I guess we know why women have gotten bored of me quickly, lol

The moon with no powers at all?
If it could but reverse and slow
the heart there wouldn't be need
      for those little white pills.

Yes, on my G rated page, I ran
a bit from the romance of the prompt
to more motivational, but with dualities
      if read with eyes half-closed!!
