Can this dawn warm a wintered heart
where furrowed thoughts are touched by rime,
or must I seek another shore
to find illusive peace of mind?
This autumn world is barren, bare,
pearls lie beneath the rotting loam,
and yet I cling to rays of hope
to teach a sparrow how to fly.

Very emotional poem. Never give up hope. The words here are powerful, the imagery is great. God bless.

Thoughts I have often wondered myself.. yet we must cling to hope. Like where you took this write... very poignant!

Masterly craft
This is so lyrical and up lifting...the reader must grow wings instantly and fly away with it!

-
Such a pleasure to read.
It's simplistic but conveys powerfully the resolve of the forlorn heart.
