a Mind's Eye

Dreams
Forsaking all else
Without breath
Alive we are not

Piano keys
Beat a distant melody
Calling home
A forgotten soul

Still breathing
You are not forgotten
Someone must dream
Before they forgive

Memories of time lost
Clouded in anger
Revealed in after thought
Sealed by a kiss in remorse

Translucent in love
No longer hidden
Forgetful only of self
Family now; reality as one

Realizing one's purpose
A lifetime achievement
Kneeling before the grave
Something I must ponder

Hold dear to this truth
A blinking of the eye
No sooner with it
Come true

All will be revealed
No more speculating a life
All has purpose
Everything has meaning.

    Beautifully done...

A strong, thought provoking narrative with wonderful imagery & great depth that makes for a very contemplative read...
    Impressive as always...
    Keep up the good work...
    Well done!!!

  • Well, well, you have been doing some fine work on the farm here. I loved the way I could feel a spiral forming as I read. Like a spider weaving it's web. Spiders are my favorite insect if that tells you anything. Love this. Heartfelt and truly a poetic piece.
