Daylight

I sunk into my sheets last night
Begging the morning to blanket the Heavens
I feel at peace and  when you come around,
Here I am left hearing a humming that sounds like rain in the summer
The light streaks across the sky with a hope to sail away
I'll be a better person when all else fails
Brace yourself for the impact
You know it can be fierce
It moves through you like a torrent
sending your heart into a panic
Photos line your windows and the memories fill the cracks in between
In the lines of your past you find me
as the sun falls asleep, I am wrapped up in you
the light fills the air and falls across the sky
I'm falling with it
this is where you'll find me
on this new horizon
beyond the trees just overwhelming the scenery
the clouds devoir the sun
and this rain defines every fiber in my being
passing through the color in your eyes
engaging the power to move you
thousands of threads combine in each new pattern
I am waking from a dream
or still planted below this captivating wave
lets paint this one together
every picture brings me right back to you
moving on swift wings to write your favorate lullaby
to feel the curves you share
and we can pave our own streets
mold them with that delicate touch
they look like glass shimmering in the daylight
and you know they are one of a kind
we lay in our canopy of imagination
as we reach our destination
