Air

As if it had

always existed,

my love for him
is a world
I was born into -

the moment
we met,

my first
deep breaths.

Is it possible that our love lives before us? Do we find again a soul we loved before? Perhaps this first breath is only one of many first breaths . . . or so it sometimes seems.

Beautifully written . . . so very true.

Oh yes... I know this moment, the breathlessness of it all. So very well penned with few words. It never takes more than a sigh to describe true love. Eloquently written from a loving heart! Just beautiful!

    Much Love ♥

This is beautiful in its simplicity and yet quite deep in feeling and meaning. I liked this. It could be the beginning of something even longer, but I do like it just the way it is..

Wow! The understatement and underlying effect of this poem really stab the readers like me. I'll say that this is the air, the breath of love. The impression of this is flattering to any lovers that'll read the poem. If a person will write something like this to someone, they're both lucky to nest with each other.

    short and brilliant tara.

I am not sure if you wrote this to a word confinement or not but you have employed just 25 words which do, indeed, oxygenate and the desire, the depth, the contentment and need are delicious.

    Kudos.

how beautiful this is. this poem doesn't need anything more...it's perfect as it is. made me think of something Rumi said (I think it was Rumi): "lover's don't finally meet - they are in each other always".

    Vivid Link

I love the pre-destined world you make of love, and the visceral feel of falling in love with that of birthing: coming into the light, the awakening deep inrush of air, the cry of arrival and the joy of everyone surrounding at the birth. Great link.

  • I deeply appreciate your ability to distill an overpowering emotinal connection, into an exquisite poetic reality. This seems flawless to me, in its delicate tremble of inner truth. Beautiful is inadequate for this. Once again, a timeless piece.....
