survey because my muse is suffocating underneath my biology book

1. If you could kill someone and get away with it, would you do it?

I do not believe I have the rights to take away anyone's life.
No matter how corrupt that person is,
I am not him or her, therefore I can not judge.

2. If you had the chance to change anything in your past, would you? What?

No. I believe that we look toward the future.
The past is there to be learned from. Why change when you can improve?

3. Is there a God?

To some people yes, to others no.
To me, God is an abstract identity that is my last resort when reason deserts me.
So is there a God? Maybe.

4. What do you think the afterlife is like?

Why think about the afterlife when we are living our present life?

5.What is the meaning of life in your opinion?

I can probably give you a loose definition base
on my philosophy book or my biology book,
but neither are really my opinion.
The meaning of life? There is really none.
We make life what it is.
If we try to give it meaning, we only confuse ourselves.

6. Are you pro- or anti- gun? Why?

I do not have an opinion either way.

7.In the event of martial law,
would you live under government rule, or go off the grid and join a militia?

Depends on my situation. Depends on what government.

8. If you could cheat on your significant other, would you? Why or why not?

I believe in the ethic of reciprocity, aka the Golden Rule

9. If your soul was a mirror, would you like what you saw?

On good days, yes.  On bad days, no. Are we ever satisfied with who we are?

10. If you hit a pedestrian on a deserted road and knew they were dead, would you ever tell anyone?

Morals are not my strong point.
I like to say "yes" but I know I will be conflicted.
Depending on my situation.
For example, what happens if I was poor,
my husband left me, and I have 3 children that depended on me.
Do I want to go to jail and lose custody of my children?
Do I want to do what is right? I don't know, and I don't want to know.
Hopefully I will never kill a pedestrian on a deserted road.

11. Do you believe in parallel universes? What are they like?

Our universe is huge. There is such thing as probability,
even if it is less than .000...etc...1%

12. Have you ever seen a ghost or experienced a supernatural event?

Yes. I have witnessed it with others and I have experienced it myself.
But did I believe it? I don't know.
I can make scientific excuses and resort to logic,
but again, our universe is huge. Supernatural events are possible.

13. What would you do if you had five minutes left to live?

Write a poem? Say good-bye? Pray? 5 minutes are too short.
Most likely I will be sitting in a hospital bed waiting for the beeping to stop
and wishing everyone will stop crying.

14. If you knew the day of your death
and had the power to delay your death at the cost of 1,000 strangers lives,
would you? What about a loved ones life?

No, not to sound cliche. But death is just another journey.

15. Have you ever experienced TRUE love? How do you know it was true love?

No. What is true love? Is love not like wine? It just gets better with age.

16. Do you believe animals have souls?

I believe humans are also animals. Do we have souls? Maybe. I will not rule out the possibility.

17. If reincarnation is true, who do you think you were in a past life?
Who will you be in your next life?

Probably an artist or writer.
For the strangest reason,
I can also see myself working as a minister in the imperial palace. My next life? Hopefully the next Da Vinci.
But probably a layer or a doctor.
Who knows, maybe the next prime minister of England.

18. Do you believe in aliens?

Again, it is probable.

19. How corrupt is our government??????

Government is an infrastructure created by man.
How corrupt is man? Selfishness is definitely a trait I believe we excel at.
But at the same time, our world has not yet come to the point of total chaos.
Our government? It has its ups and downs.

20. Say something memorable off the top of your head,
or give me your favorite quote with credit to author.

"Nothing rings so false as stupid prejudice; nothing is so absurd as hypocritical morality"- Petronius

Im glad that you took some time to reflect on the question about hitting a pedestrian...most people just thought it was a completely heartless question, but what if...and your answer was right on point. Thanks for actually thinking! I love your thoughts on changing the past....things are what they are, and if we don't learn from mistakes then we are pretty much screwed
I really enjoyed your survey. Thanks for the entry! Best of luck!

Well this is brutally hones, your answer to the Pedestrian shows you would have some moments of reflections on the weight of your actions, we never will know unless we are confronted with these situations in real life.
