Every once in a while, a contest comes up that prompts me to post one of my old pieces. Sam has come up with such a contest. So, even though it calls for only new pieces, I'm posting it as new to AP. It's okay if it gets DQ'd--I'll still be grateful for being inspired to share it. I heard and saw the chorus of this song literally in a dream, whilst deep in prayer and fasting. The 1st verse comes from a framed picture I saw on a gas station checkout counter, after "accidentally" going the wrong way while trying to drive home.

The joy of joys when our Lord Jesus wipes our weeping eyes, cradles us in his loving arms.
Though we fall short, Jesus in his infinite mercy finds draws us close to him. Your Hymn flows from the very soul and inspires us to sing praises to our King! This is just gorgeous. I could never DQ such a heartfelt and inspired write for the Lord. I love this so much. Thank you again for entering and making me cry tears of joy and love for my Lord. I was worried about this piece getting DQ'd and it didn't make the original finalists list, so NEVER expected Silver.
