Looked into Your eyes, there I saw what I meant to You. Searched my heart and my soul and found I was no friend to You. So I told You "I'm not worth tryin' for, but couldn't tell you I wasn't worth dyin' for. For me it's You, I know that it's True, all You chose to do.
I looked into Your heart. I did find there's nowhere I can hide. I take You as You are, You take my life. 'Cause you gave it all, I will sacrifice. They can't tell me you're not worth fightin' for. I can't help it, You're all I want and more. It's not a lie, this Love in Your eyes. For You, Lord, we'll try.
I know Love is sure Love, and no brother could fill Your Love. There's no Way except Your Way, so this time now I pray...
So now you tell me that I'm worth cryin' for. I can't stop it, You're all I want and More. Yeah, You were lost for me. You'll fight for me. On the cross for me, You died for me!
Your Life You lost--everything because--Oh Lord, You did it for us.

Sam...
...I used to like the song when I was young and still do. And for a while, I used to like to sing secular Love songs to the Lord, just changing a lyric or two. But, at some point, I just lost my appetite for most things musical that don't have their total origin in and focus on glorifying God. With Christian parody you kind of get the best of both worlds, and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to write a Christian parody, and for the HM.
That said, I want you to know that my favorite band of all time is a band that only does Christian parodies. Even though they do mostly rock music, which I don't really like too much, the sheer genius of their lyrics always blows me away. And they do do some songs I actually originally liked. But their Christian versions of some of the rock classics, Michael Jackson and Eminem are definitely Holy Spirit inspired. They touch on almost every popular music genre, so I think you could find one of your favorite songs that they probably sing.
If you want to look them up online and sample some of their music, they are called ApologitiX. I hope you will check them out.
Christ's Love Always,
All Ways, Sincerely,
Marvin J. †
