It Would Take Too Long To Reach You(silver)

I'm in another galaxy but know just where you are
your arms reach out from there on earth, I feel them from afar,
this star I'm on just shines for you, each night it blazes bright
a swirling gas of love it yearns to be with you this night.

These fiery cries call out to you, in lost and lonely sighs
and over time this flame it dulls upon these darkened skies,
I know I want to be with you, please come take me away
with you into another world, together where we'll stay.

But now all that I want to do is fall right in your arms
and feel the magic of your touch, the wonders of your charms,
in freefall just to melt right down, together we would be
to twirl upon each starry night for all eternity.

But oh you are so far away and time's not on our side
to be with you would take so long, no matter how I tried
and by the time I'd reach you, I'd be burned within that sphere
and everything that seems so right would all just disappear.

a good piece that spins language into another realm with fine grace and ease, ah love, it spins like stars for sure, blinking blue and red sighs as the atmosphere swings sighs, time, it can be bent and rolled up, a wormhole skip right into arms.

  • nice imagery and use of the quote. good luck in the contest
