These passing bodies have long ceased
To be of interest to me.
Those vessels harbor such a void.
What a shame they cannot see
That the very thing they search for,
A companion, company,
Is best not found in those who are
Just as tragically empty.
So here I sit and mock the hearts
That burst at the faintest touch
Of loneliness, their isolation
Born from ignorance and such.
You see, I know the only friend
Someone will forever have
Is found nowhere but in their self;
There's none other to be had.
And if one does not deem their self
Worthy of companionship,
Then why on earth would I do so?
I sigh as they float adrift
From my throne of clarity,
While promising myself
To not let the void e'er return
And place me upon the shelf.

I like this poem, reminds me of the mind dead people than inhabit most nooks and crannies of this Earth, I particularly like the lines:
And if one does not deem their self
Worthy of companionship,
Then why on earth would I do so?
AND ALSO
know the only friend
Someone will forever have
Is found nowhere but in their self;
Keep up the awesome work
