i'm cradling an henri rousseau painting
in my gut.  delicious tigers.  sweating gypsies asleep in my lungs

when you're counting clouds,
out loud, and.
you're not embarrassed anymore.

it pisses me off
when the people at church ask, "have you found jesus?"

have i found jesus?
...maybe.

but maybe jesus doesn't want
to be found.

i don't know for certain about the afterlife.
all i can say,
i hope there are guitars...

after decades of losing their lights
to the smeared, glowing fingers
of greedy children,

the fireflies will wait until we're asleep.
and take our hearts.

in the dead of night, somebody stole
an ADHD patient
out of the psych ward...

and juiced them.

well.  maybe with world WILL end.

no more taxes, or hatred, or bad music.
