A Blessing for Scientists

Were it not for scientific eperimentation and exploration, we would have never survived the Stone Age. Without the discovery of the wheel you would not be reading and I wouldn't be posting my observations via the internet. Inspite of ridicule and condemnation our earliest pioneers persevered setting in motion a healthier, more intelligent way of the life we call "civilized". From plagues to polio, from simple math to binary coding, we owe scientists for our continuing evolution towards a more prosperous way ('prosperous' not limited to to financial).

Where would we be without Flash Gordon and Star Trek?? It is scientists that turned fiction into reality. Without the romancing of science fiction there would be no television, radio and, God forbid, no cell phones!!

We cannot hold science totally accountable for governmental mis-use of technology. With the exception of the Bible, all good things can be used for evil. So the next time your computer connects to the internet say a little blessing fo scientists. Afterall, it took quantum application to advance radar/sonar into satelite signals.
