thunderclouds gathered above us, mere children of creation;
while they screamed out in fury for every forgotten architect.
they are the ones that matter, not us, you told me,
took my hand; but we'll change that.
& I believed you.
so I waited, for you to show me how to move clouds,
to form constellations from patterns of dark and bright;
but rather you pushed shadows onto playgrounds
emptied of all life in the summer heat.
sit here and rest a while
the world can get by without us for a day.
I lost my summer in your arms, in a peace of storms and sunshine.
