My life was going downhill all at one time.
I didn't know what to do, I just knew I was out of line.
Everyday, I would be more disconnected and dead.
I figured you left me when all was done and said.
Boy was I wrong!
I asked, "Why did it take you so long"
To heal my heart and soul, I'd have to pay the toll.
It was sacrifice.
After I realized my love for you.
I gave everything else up, and I knew you were still true.
You never left me or walked away.
It was then I thought I was alone on my journey, but no.
You were there all along, guiding me through.
Through my toughest times you carried me.
When you knew it was safe to let go...
You let me fly away, but you still will always have my soul.
