Greg & Sandy: A Love Story

Your voice is a balm to my aching soul...
in silence it speaks to me;
a magical, mystical,
voice heard only by the beating heart



Voices raised in perfect harmony,
 heartstrings oscillate into
chords of pure beauty



Priceless gifts of deep-felt emotion,
kissed by grace
and by endless devotion



We began to walk this path,
hand in hand,
and side by side,
on a journey of exploration
Not knowing where the path would lead,
and not caring,
because we knew we were
facing it together...



The depth and intensity spills over;
it flows like blood through my veins...
Liquid fire that burns me from the inside;
incinerating the doubt and
the fear that I've carried...
Lost in the heat of love's inferno.



You lift my broken, tattered wings
To be healed in passion’s flames
So that we may soar together
To bask in love forevermore

Inspiration from my Northern Star, (Greg, I love you!!! ) and from these lyrics, "God Gave Me You" :

For all times I felt cheated, I complained

You know how I love to complain

For all the wrongs I repeated

Though I was to blame I still cursed that rain

I didn't have a prayer, didn't have a clue

Then out of the blue.



God gave me you to show me what's real

There's more to life than just how I feel

And all that I'm worth is right before my eyes

And all that I live for though I didn't know why

Now I do, 'cause God gave me you.



For all the times I wore my self pity like a favorite shirt

All wrapped up in that hurt

For every glass I saw, I saw half empty

Now it over flows like a river through my soul

From every doubt I had, I'm finally free

And I truly believe.

    This poem is truly very beautiful and I long await for this moment to happen with me, but I believe that God allows things to happen when he thinks we are ready. You did an amazing job on this brilliant masterpiece. You must light the way to your heart for love to come on in. You must love yourself and trust in who you are to follow you through the years of heartache that seem to pass making your heart more ready for that one true "other" that will come your way when you can truly give her/him all the things they are due. Truly appreciate them better that way. You did a fabulous job on this. I love it. Excellent job. God bless you always and best of luck in the contests.

    Phoenix -- the ending is not in ash or flame it is the married spirit returned to God.

    Rich in lessons, understanding that humility takes strength and that humbleness is not self-effacing but being totally in compliance with God. Blessed are the meek.

    Love joined is not about making someone happy, drugs can do that. Love joined and honored is about sharing joy even in the midst of sorrow so the Light will be seen.

    this is just breath taking..when words are just simply not enough how do you say i love you, a heart that is totally over flowed with a love so deep and so perfect, how how do you say i love you..you have taken this reader to a world she holds very dear as well..the love she has and receives from her gifted soul mateniaish so much for sharing this beauty and for entering

    thiswas penned with so much passion that i began feeling the Greg directed heat---lol......as a bystander......ahemmmmm....guess i am at no risk....beautiful word choice and wow what perefctly structured stanzas.Loved this poem as an experince itself. My fav lines:
