tied to a balloon

Was all too good to be true
The path looked so straight and clear
Dreams outnumbered the stars
Tried so hard to  be her all
Watched and envied by all so dear
Always listened beyond all words
With a mind of her own
With thoughts of her own
Her wisdon rare
Was taught right from wrong
She knew it all
Put smiles on faces of those around
She was the one girls dreamed to be
The one guys wanted but never could have
She truely was, one of a kind

Fell head over heels for the wrong guy
He had her fooled
He had her where he wanted
Oblivious to all of this
He continued to play his game
He said he loved her
She said it too
Forever together she thought

With all she knew
All she had
A weakness could undo
So strong it was
she ignored what she knew
All she was taught
Away her instincs flew

It was a feeling so real it enchanted her soul
Three words and a yes was all it took
Her body now poisoned
Her heart left cold
What was so right is now so wrong
The girl so pure now damaged and numb
Tied to a balloon are the things she was
Her head filled with regret
Her body split in two

Soon all to be fine
Once taken up high
Her bed placed near the window to stare at the sky
As a warm breeze flows thru
A feeling of comfort
A feeling of happiness tingles her body
Over rides her soul
And than she knew

Holding the balloon's string
She lets it free
A note she wrote and kissed closed
Dangles free from the string
Her eyes slowly close
All lay still, death has taken it's course

The guy she loved is still on the prawl
With no remorse he goes around
A girl with so much
Having it all to loose
She heard those three words
But yet to approve
Nervous and frightened she turns to the sky
A balloon appears floating to her side
Attached to the balloon was a note
Sealed by a kiss

In the note
Were the words she needed to here
