Gentle breezes ruffle my already tousled hair.
The air smells of rain from days a fore.
The night's hoots echo far off in the distance.
The calm, still black feels comforting.
The dark ceiling above is splattered here and there with cliques of stars. Several stars group together, while others dance together in a separate circle of their own. Looking at the picture of lights in the roof, one lone star dimly sparkles in the midst of the crowded scene above. Excluded from the rest of the sky, the single star sparkles alone; flying solo in the winds of night.
Gentle breezes ruffle my already tousled hair.
The air smells of rains from days a fore.
The night's hoots echo far off in the distance.
A tear falls down my chilled cheek,
as my head falls from looking skyward.
