I'm with em, this is fresh, and made me think of false beginnings, that no matter how hard we try to change, we keep coming back to the breaks/pain. I don't know...

the ending made me think of Hansel and Gretel. it just had this abadoned, fairytale vibe to it. very sweet and frightening at the same time.
I don't know if I'm reading the beginning correctly, but it kind of had this... you can't teach an old dog new tricks. or being the same old person in a completely new place or situation.... like nothing has really changed despite the growth and sunshine all around. I don't know. maybe I'll have to come back and read this.
