Father or Dad?

Father, biological, married to my mother,
Respected but distant,
Someone to look up to.

Daddy, pulls at my heartstrings,
Abba, intimately sharing, caring,
Someone I can pour out my troubles to.

Father, Daddy, Dad or Papa....
The meaning behind the words
Reflect your emotions deep inside.

So when your earthly father dies,
It's difficult to express how you feel,
But be grateful your father was there for you,
Caring, providing, in so many different kinds of ways.

I like your poem. It is very nice to have had a Dad, Daddy, Papa, Father, however we addressed him. My Dad took very good care of us all. He was strick, but he loved us.

Thank you so much for entering and good luck in my contest. I like what you had to say. These days we are so lucky to have a father, dad or daddy or whatever we may call him. I like your opinion.
    Have a good day.

I love this. It reminds me of the scripture at John 5:28,29. Thanks for sharing this.
