Autumn Gives Earth Pardon(bronze)

Song of summer's vibrant shout
swirls around in freedom's grasp,
surprise of dawn's performing hue
from deep within escapes a gasp.

But dance of fiery blazes lull
as subtle chill float's 'pon a breeze,
for clouds appear as heat is dulled
and autumn's hands they softly tease.

Fall's cooling winds bring soothing grace
a kiss of sighs to arid earth,
with promises of times of rest
when nature's form prepares rebirth.

In elegance her colours bright
announcing dreams in cooling sighs,
when spirit of the earth must rest
this is the call of Autumn, wise.

And so she tempers summer's heat
from gentle lace to brittle bend
as tired land becomes embraced
when autumn's temperature descends.

    Fantastical!!!

Dan ordered me to come and read this as he said I would not be disappointed.
So here I am and I'm not disappointed, far from it. You write with a magical pen always but this is penned with something greater than magic and I so envy you but if I can't write like you then I am fortunate enough to be able to read you everyday.
    Thankyou.....
    Love Lu x

    just wonderful

I have no idea what 2 poems beat this into a bronze place, but they must have been awe inspiring. This poem in my humble opinion is absolutely wonderful. The whole thing reeks of class, the words chosen the rhyming pattern, the flow, everything. I truly wished I could aspire to something as good as this. Truly poetic...Dan

This is very pretty and this is so true after having Texas heat all summer soon as September it I am already cold. This seemed like a real peaceful poem and you painted a lovely picture. Thank you for entering and good luck in the contest.

a good poem that dances across forever's face, ah the colours that whisper songs across the face of mother nature, they trickle down her cheeks, and are blown with the wind, leaves of promise, life will be refreshed.
