ahhh... the frosty and sudden snappish weather of spring, and this little flower that rises early, like an harbinger; resilient strength is a special thing. Thank you for this fine entry into the contest and best of luck in the judging...PK

Another piece of 3am cr*p that wouldn't stay quiet. To my own mind, in many ways this is the better of the two, with the contrast of soft and hard images brought together as a balance - yin/yang, if you wish. The surprise of the observer's connection of the two - the reader almost saying, "Huh? What new wall?"...

But I don't have to explain that to you - you got it, right?

I do all my best bad poetry in the hours when I should be in bed, the fussy critical mind goes off to bed leaving the raw elemental part to its own devices.
