The date was October 4, 1988
I was of the age of 10
That is when I heard the news
The Calgary General Hospital was coming down.
It was quite a sight to see
There was rocks, bricks, and debris
The operation went according to plan
The implosion is complete.
What about the beds that went down with it?
Well that is another story.

It was an amazing sight, although ever since the Calgary General Hospital's implosion in 1998, the city has been short on hospital beds.
