Judge Me

Perhaps you did not know that I
Lay silently awake at night
With all these words I've never said
Meandering around my bed

You know, for inspiration I
Stare at the thunderstorm outside
And I find meaning in it's depths:
Anger, dreams, and happiness

So judge me as you think it best
Put all your theories to the test
But keep in mind- I've seen the night
And therefore know how to survive.

Author notes

You may think you know someone and therefore are free to judge them. Turns out, you may know nothing at all. What you see may be just an image.

Very true. It's always difficult to tell if you are seeing a person for who they are or who they are pretending to be. So many get caught up in the facade... Anyway, nicely done.
