Tell me where the sun is

Tell me where the sun is,
I only see the night.
Watching as I try to sleep,
as i'm looking for the light.
Tell me why the clouds move,
and i'm stuck to the ground.
Tell me why the wind cries,
but I can't make a sound.
It's getting colder as I move,
searching for the sun.
Trying to get there faster,
but my feet won't let me run.
I can feel it in my fingertips,
it's close enough to touch.
But something holds me back,
The fear i've done to much.
i've been walking for so long now,
never once have I got close.
I still have that empty feeling,
the more I try,the more it grows.
Maybe this is it for me,
it'll always be a dead end.
The sun will never find me,
it has more better hearts to mend.
And as I listen to the darkness,
the rain and the wind,
I'll wait until that final day,
when I see the sun again.
