Sometimes...
a lot of times...
the solution to the problem we are facing is in front of our faces.
We refuse to look at it,
to acknowledge it,
because it's not the answer we want.
So we keep trying to skirt around it,
turning over every single stone for what we want so badly,
the thing we think will fix everything.
Either we do find it, but the strings attached are too much to accept...
or we likely never find it at all.
In the end we look behind our shoulder to the answer,
the key we've ignored...
we look at it and sigh with defeat at our wasted time and effort.
Because what we needed was there all along.
Maybe not what we wanted...
but what we needed.
We smile and shake our head in resign, and take the key that lies in front of us...
trust that in the end it will open the door
that gives us both...

Good
> symbol reminds me of greater than or lesser than<. I just had to say that. It brought me back to school days when I learned those symbols. I liked how you put the title. Need > Want. It could have looked this way: Need
Excellent.

thats exactly what it is =) need is greater than want, and jehovah always knows what we need, even if its not what we want at the time
