Your voice haunts my mind-
Each perfect word you threw in my mind,
each perfect syllable you knew would stay...
That one night was a one time thing,
It's forbidden to be much more.
But what keeps me awake until 4 in the morning,
Is the thought of what if...
What if they,
Those authority figures who make such absurd rules,
were not in the picture?
Would you love me freely then?
What if we could flash our love to the people,
Didn't have to hide each time we simply wanted to touch each other,
kiss each other,
hold each other?
Would you love me freely then?
But that moment,
That one fateful and worthy,
yet heartwrentching moment-
is set against to be repeated.
But I don't believe it,
and I don't think you believe it either.
You want my touch as I need yours...
You need my kiss as I want yours.
But each hour ticks by as if seconds,
And the sun is peaking up over the horizon...
Your words still won't leave,
your memory too embedded within me.
I'm lost,
I'm haunted...
