It was getting darker now and hard for them to see. "What's that", ask Pinky, pointing in the air. "I don't see anything", said Hoppy. "There", said Pinky again, still pointing to the sky."Where, where?", ask Hoppy.
Then Hoppy saw it, it was a tiny light in the air. "Oh! that's a firefly", said Hoppy. "They come out at night and light the sky. Their tail flashes off and on and makes light. They are so fun to watch". They watched the fireflies together until the stars came out, and then they told each other goodnight.
"See you tomorrow", said Hoppy. Pinky squealed and said, "okay, Hoppy".
A new day began for all...
Sparky, the rooster, flew to his high post and crowed, "Cock-a-doodle do, cock-a-doodle do, time to get up everyone. The world is waiting for you."
The sun was just coming up above the horizon and the rays were shinning through the trees. "Oh! what a beautiful morning", Ms Farmer was singing as she came out to throw scraps in the yard. She knew the birds would fly to get the scraps, early in the morning. The mourning doves, Lovey and Dovey were already in her yard, billing and cooing at each other, as they picked at the scraps. "How delicious !", they cooed.
Pokey, the turtle and Warts, the frog...
