  • Ah, I like this. And ponder, I shall. It's short, to the point, and deliciously like a riddle.

I dig the concise nature of this conundrum.
You've not used any more words then was necessary to convey what you wished to. Excellently done!

given your title, i suspect the answer is revealed by time and with this i would agree. well posed.

  • I always appreciate the questions that you pose to your readers in your bare bones poetry. Shouldn't poetry provoke thought and discussion?

    Well done and intelligent.

    • Thank you for the compliment, and a very appropriate question. And for me, I would say yes, that is one very major purpose. Thanks again.

There is no difference. Words rearrange and become stranger than fiction where reality looks fake and to take such a question and twist it above the realm of conclusion is what we have here. Comprende? You make me think of great philosophers. And so now I have thunk and I thank you for making me think what I thought.

    Much Love ♥

Fiction is an escape as well as a downfall. Truth is the light to the unknown creating happiness and sadness. Fiction can be curved anyway you want. The truth stays flat and bland. Its a thin line most definately but would life not go on the same if we had one but not the other?

    • Oh, yes, the thin line between truth and fiction, is like the thin line between reality, and virtual reality! Actually, I prefer reality with it's blend of truth and fiction, I'll leave virtual reality for someone else to follow, for meditation is better than that. Thanks again, for your thoughtful comment; compliment and applause for I do appreciate them.

If we knew the difference, we'd be nae further forrit. It's a gey strange world. I'm glad you said it's a "wee bit" of a conundrum. That's a very Scottish turn of phrase, ye ken. This is a land where you are asked to "Tak a wee bit seat". And ponder the meaning of existence. Thanks, my friend.

    • Aye, Indeed, and that is so. Thanks for the thoughtful comment; compliment, and applause for I do appreciate them.

    Well,

Truth in fiction doesn't hurt. We know it is fiction but we can garner truth within. But when fiction is presented inside truth (as with political speech) that can be terribly harmful when people being fibbed to cannot discern the fiction from the truth. Good question.

Please do not do that again, with posting links to other places in my poetry, how rude is that of you? That is just bad manners on your part. Do you do that with every new member.

I share my knowledge with others on AP; you are always welcome to leave a URL in any comments on my poetry. You have knowledge that I do not possess. If you are reminded of a song; a poem, a movie, or a book because of what you read in my work, please share your knowledge since I can learn from your life experience.
However, if you so desire, and you do, I shall no longer share my knowlege with you or those who read your poetry. I shall respect your decision.

    Too much to think about.

Oh boy... *brews a pot of coffee and thinks this over*
Well, I suppose Fiction is something from the imagination of man. So any Truth in said Fiction is there because it belongs with the workings of the imaginative tale.

Now for there to be Fiction in Truth, is a whole other story. Would one not have to fabricate the falseness within the truth?
*finishes his first cup of coffee, pours another*
This is quite the conundrum you have left me with, for I am only looking at the words in a literal sense when they could also be taken in a philosophical sense, in which case everything around us is fiction and the truth is hidden for us to find...

Clovis.. leave my mind alone.. I'm starting to have smoke billow from my ears again lol.
