tell me the future bright.
Ignore the cards and angels,
reaffirm what’s in my mind.
I know I seek true answers,
but the truth must be mine.
I’ve paid you twenty dollars,
get it right this time.
Craving guidance, I came
willing to listen with open mind
But you went and let me down
laying it all on the line.
Enlightented, share wisdom,
let me vamp your energies.
I don’t care about spirituality
just the thrill of my own needs.
No matter what you say,
no matter how you try,
I’ve not come in good faith
but just to waste your time.
So, sugar coat it mama,
fortune teller, psychic light
I can’t handle the reality
of what you’ve said tonight.
Smile at me, won’t you?
straighten my haggered life.
But never do your job
and give me good advice.
Author notes
I read the prompt and just could NOT resist this one. They always want the truth...until they get it
Prompt was "Shut up voices or I'll poke you with a Q-tip again"

Thank You!
Thank You for Your entry: Silent Confessions of a Tarot Junkie
This piece tugged hard at Spirit and after reading several times ~
I'm Honored also Humbled You took the time to pen for my contest
You took the prompt and brought forth much for the Mind to feast upon~
Bravo!!
When I digest words written, images come through that grab hard~
Woven Strengths: Wow while reading I kept getting images of what appears
to be a Dragon Tarot I think~ Adore the reference to: Sugar coat if mama
After reading again- I am shown a Woman giving a reading but using crystals
also palm reading and the recipient keeps asking the same question expecting
different results~
And word: Addict- as if a person continually wanting Guidance
and going to the same Reader or to different ones wanting to hear what the Mind
wants to hear not what was presented for Interpretation
I'm shown a reference re: payment for services rendered but the person wanting
service but not wanting to pay right now...as if ...expecting or hoping to have it
on credit like as a favor [claiming lack of funds etc] ~ if that makes sense
I'm shown a box and items being taken out of it~ appears as if they were ordered as either inventory or bought for personal use
For some reason was shown the 5 of Wands
However that is to be Interpreted.
You give the Reader much to think about
Love the direction You took with this prompt
Hopefully my comment to Your write makes sense
Powerful verse and message You have brought forth

These words grabbed and pulled~
I can’t handle the reality
of what you’ve said tonight.
Vivid Imagery poured in these lines...
Thank You for sharing Your Talent also Voice
also best wishes to You in the contest Sweet Soul
Many blessings too

with much love and light~ Desire~*~

Wow hon. This piece is so strong. The truth is most often a confusing web one must weave through.....and confusion can certainly lead to frightening things within a mind or soul. There's so much to let go of by the time we're grown - it can be difficult. The rewards are unimaginably great when a soul becomes enlightened - and once you have, you want to work to sustain it. To never backslide once you find the point from whence you came.
How very brilliant, vibrant, and powerful your pen.....
Thank you much!
Love & Blessing,
~

OMG G lol I love the title, just based on that you would have gotten my clappies cuz i thought it was clever and silly, but this whole piece is a riot cuz it's so true!!!
same with any oracle cards and any other divination practices.
personally i like going in without any set questions or idea of what i want to know, just tell me what you see in store for me ... more interesting that way

huggles

Ahahaha, so true and love it. Guilty as charged, but to be fair the cards are always very over dramatic with me.

-
I love it. I think people can get really addicted to tarot and other "fortune telling" devices, and I think this is very easy to relate to and very true. =)
-
Very relatable.
