The Friendship Prism

Prisms beautifully shimmer
Bending and twisting light
A single beam becoming
A rainbow of beams.

Experience is like a prism
Reality enters consciousness
Split into shades of rose and blue
Perspective becomes reality

Introduce a second prism
Rainbow beams contort
A single beam re-emerges
Ordered from chaos.

Friends order the chaos
Until reality re-emerges
From colored perspective
The second prism of life.

I like where this is going~

I like your metaphor of prisms and friendship, and your rhythm flows throughout the poem.

I was confused by this line "Ordered from chaos" as the first stanza speaks of a "rainbow of beams" which is ordered, not chaotic~ perhaps it is that there is a "A single beam becoming" that has thrown me, as I do not find this image chaotic either...?

"Perspective becomes reality" resonated with me; how very true~ from my perspective :-)

Thanks for the comment. I agree with you in retrospect. I was looking at it from the perspective of multiple perspectives, which can be quite confusing. You're right, though that it doesn't make much sense in relationship to prisms.
