Everyone
has Cellphones
Scary
The Technology
what would
it be like
without it
would we
Die
Can't
Reach You
Now
What would
Happen
Would the Earth
Fall Apart
Do You really
Need me Now
You Cry
when I Don't
Answer
it's a Sick
Power
that has
come over
US
This cellphone
Everyone
Must Own
Just tell me how it made you feel?

interesting--good point
It is written in a style like you are having a mental conversation with yourself--as if you have written down your thought process on this particular subject. Technology has become a pacifier of sorts for the world, and many of us (including myself) cannot function correctly in the day without a cell phone. It's certainly sad that it has become this way, but it has--and it's an easy way to keep up with others and for others to keep up with you, especially when you're a busy person that is constantly on the go, and other people are depending on that easy access to you. You make a good, clear point that is well understood, and causes one to really think about what technology is actually doing to us.

Interesting
The first time I read it, it made no sense and sucked.
Well, I reread it and I noticed it definitly has significance.
Is this poem about the destruction cellphones will cause in the future?
Are the lines are short and choppy to sound robotic and cell phone like? (That's a really interesting way to capture that perspective. It looks so obvious, yet it's somewhat subtle.)
"without it
would we
Die
Can't
Reach You" A cellphone is just plastic and some wires, but how it's shapped society today is incredible. People are so dependent on these things, almost to the point that their power is greater than ours ("it's a Sick / Power / that has / come over").
"Do You really / Need me Now / You Cry / when I Don't / Answer" or is this poem about a relationship that has been controlled by the usage of a cellphone?
Is it written in short and choppy lines like someone talking while sobbing?
Is this just a typical break-up poem written in a different way?
