Of Irises and Hyacinths

I sought you out-- for deep inside I knew
your lovely soul from time and space before
and now our friendship has developed true
in spite of rocky paths and distant shore.

You take my hand and gently lead me where
your rebel nature knows I would not go
you lift me from the depths of dark despair
through pen and tome wars, pics and videos.

I feel your daily flame though time's unkind
in distance we bloomed in gardens apart
still, hearts like ours will join in twine divine
transform the night into the dawn's new start.

Resigned to friends-- our love upon the shelf,
Please know I love you more than life itself.
