mahogany

Missing image

                  autumn

nipped at her ankle

with russet shades
then lay there
                      crisp

ready for clouds
to fall and rest

she imagined pieces of bronze
bursting through the gap
             between pursed
segments of mahogany

then she heard them
dither and ponder
as they followed
          biting breath

before resting by
                      titillated toes

Author notes

“Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.”

Imagery and lines are most impressive....Like your feminine touch as you dress her in your finery..Majestically written!

Your delicate presentation is most effective in portraying autumn’s mood.
For me all your lines, all you visual pauses and imagery are

    perfect.
