Aquatic Circles

Subside to capture a world
uniquely bestowed
    as an ancient calm.

Placid valleys gratified
by aquatic circles,
stroking magnified love.
-safe from stormy highs.

Blissful dreams
-eternally nimble in movement.

I believe the poet has completed an admirable task fitting poem to prompt with this contemplative piece. No word wasted, the pen seems to surrender unto its own rhythms, and in doing so sways with the message of both a yielding stasis and facile fluidity. One feels the greenness of valley and the depth of water in its spare lines. And there is shelter there...

    Wonderful poem, Scribe.

Thank you for sharing your lovely poetic voice in this contest...

  • Excellent. It gave this beautiful and peaceful image. The language is spectacular and gives such a vivid nature to the poem. The take off the prompt was great. I love placified valleys, it gives such an interesting tone and feel to the poem. A very enjoyable read.

oh, I do agree with Glasyalabolas, this small write opens the reader to a universal yet interal calm; perfect for the image... so meditative and lovely.

Excellent take on the pic prompt, very calming, it reaches into the constraints of the picture and in a short amount of words blows it wider open into a bigger world that the readers imagination can fill their daydreams with.

    Good write.
