What happened to "best friends forever?"

How can you act like we were never tight?
Did you forget about the late nights?

When being close to you felt close to home,
and the days we spent making adventures of our own.

Over the summer we became like family,
I never thought it would end this badly.

This ones short and different than my usual style. It's about someone who became my best friend when i needed one the most and these days I feel like i don't even know him anymore.
