When first you came and held me close, I never looked away
Averting every adverse thought, I turned to you to stay
Hoping that the dark would go, that dreams were coming true,
I gazed into the summer sky and thanked the stars for you.
Now I look in autumn skies, searching for a song
To tell of love lost far away, indifference all along
Hoping that the cold would go, that if I tried to sing,
Fear would singing drive away, and freedom would it bring.

Beautifully written.
It may become a song. Singing always brings peace to my heart.

Yes. I sought a song, and this is what I found in my heart. Whenever anything happens, I sing in poetry... it frees me, in a way.

Aw, this was a lovely piece. Cute and filled with a hope and faith that not everyone seems to have. Nicely done and best of luck.
