Always A Weirder Wednesday

Stranger days are here again,
Never thought they’d come around.
Thought I’d run them out of town,
But now I stare at sunshine down,
And wonder how it’s going to be.

Seems like life has broke and stalled,
Feeling pressed against a wall.
Forced to note that up was down,
And good and bad have both left town.
Stranger days are here again.

And so they’ll stay till weird day’s end.
And just when things seem right in place,
Appears the ground into my face.
There’s buttered grass where my feet stand,
Reflections in the mirror bend.

Stranger days have come and gone
Some stayed home and some moved on.
And though I might not know what’s right,
Or when to act and how to fight,
Always, stranger lies ahead,
Until the day I wind up dead.
