  • This is the sort of thing that is sorely lacking in the current education system. There is a lack of general scholarship, a lack of understanding of our past and where we came from and no concept of the responsibility that goes hand-in-glove with liberty and freedom. Art and thinking are under appreciated. Shock value and copying movies from the last decade in the name of profit is all the rage.

New ideas are necessary if we are to not have empty tomorrows.

Sorry about all that. I am feeling rantish today.

    Liberty...

in indeed a teacher. It does not deal in the instruction of warmed over useless philisophies. Liberty is an innovator...and inventor. Good write poet.

    • Aye, I quite agree with you. Ah, John Stuart Mill, an 18th century philosopher would probably agree with you. I read his book
"On Liberty", and was quite impressed with it. Google it for your self, and see what you think. I think it is equally applicable for our times as it was prior to the writing of the US Constitution. Thanks for your comment; compliment, and applause for I do appreciate them.

    In the future, wisdom's needed
    Often, in the past, unheeded
    Hopefully as time flows by
    Wisdom grows, as moments fly
