Live For Me

The stars, the dozen constellations, are
mirrored in the water. Not a ripple as I
am lying in the air, universe around me.
You see, I've been lying here for some time.

The water is crimson with how much life I've
put in it, last attempt at personification.
All the meetings, smiles and silences
I've had, are running throw my mind and out.

Like the final act where we all reminisce
and then again, streching to eternity. Never
tired. But that's impossible, we need an ending.
And this could be the very one we needed.

But that is not me lying there, it's you,
figment of my imagination, dying smiling.
I'd split my soul in two and save you -
that is so pure and deserving, give you all.

These words won't bring life, to anything.
These hands won't save a life, no, no-one.
This mind will dull and waste away in time.
This is but a failure of one man.
