Silently far and wide mists quickly glide.
Was it your voice, my love,
that cried out to me in the dark of the night
when our enemies destroyed our soldiers?
A faint vision flashed through my mind..
sorrowful eyes looked into my soul.
Oh, I am lost without you, dearest.
But do not weep for me.
Your precious tears kill me more
than the tragedies I face every day.
Autumn leaves fall all around me so softly
as if our time for rest has come.
But I will not rest. No, not yet!
Not until I have brought us victory,
not until I can embrace your fragile sweetness again.
I need to feel your lips. I have forgotten
the taste of your love and your touch.
I desperately hold on to you,
to the memory of your smile.
It can never compare to a bright summer day.
Don't cry for me. I will come back.
