A letter from my daughter

Dear Mom,

Hi, How are you? As for me-fine. busy. as usual. How is business? Good, I hope. I am so glad that things are going so well for you. It looks as though this job is a drastic turning point in your life. things are going to be a smooth ride from here on out. You deserve it!! You have worked so hard all your life, you deserve the opportunity to finally enjoy it.
All of my life, I never actually realized how hard you worked, and how much you actually did for all of us untill recently. Yeah, you may not have been able to afford to send me on fancy vacations, or buy me a brand new car, but you gave me evrything you had.. If I needed something for school, or I wanted something at the store, you always found a way to come up with the money to get it for me. I got to have cats, which always mean't the world to me, and you always made sure they had food, even when we didn't have much left money left over for ourselves.

I remember for aboout 6 months you drove me all the way to Riverdside after we moved to lake Elsinore, to take me to my dance lessons, and you always did mine and my friends hair for free.. You always shared your tips you got from work with me, and you always showed appreciation, if I did things for you, such as cleaning the house.

Now that I look back-I never realized that you did the best you could with what you had, all I saw at the time was that I didn't have the same things my friends had. ....and now that I reflect on the past, and look at what I am today, I am so thankful for you. I am so thankful for you doing the best that you could for me and for helping me become the person who I am today.

People are so captivatedby their 0wn wants, that they do not care to acknowledge the struggles, which others go through to give them those wants, thus they take those things for granted.

Mom, I love you, and I am so grateful that I have someone as wonderful as you as a mom, because you have always been so generous with both your possessions and your love. You have to be one of the strongest people I have ever met in my entire life, because despite all that you have been through, you still try to open up new doors, to try an make things right for you, and yet in the midst of all the trials and tribulations, you have still managed to have a good outlook with yourself, and with life. that I think is so great, because many people, had they walked the same road, would be feeling sorry for themselves, and might have simply given up.

Anyway, what I would like to sayis that I am sorry for all that I put you through. I would like to say I am sorry for all the harsh things which I have said, for all the times I only cared about myself, and mostly, I would like to apologise for all the things which remain unsaid, and undone.

I love you
Renee

Wow, that's really beautiful. It's amazing how time can slowly bring about the truth in a person. It's easy to take somebody for granted when you're young....until you grow older and see how difficult it can really be out there. Thanks for sharing this with us.

    Bountiful and profound...

The time for gratitude is now. Blessed are those that stand to grow their souls, and to diffuse gratitude.

A beautiful letter dictated by a heart that is filled with grace.

    In respect,
