I close my eyes alive,
And wake in a white cloud,
No longer will I walk the streets,
I’m one of them now.
I have no worries,
No regrets,
No life to live,
Nothing more to stress.
I have no bills to pay,
No more late nights to work,
No more running late,
Nothing left to mourn.
No more tears of pain,
Or loss of love,
I’ve lived my life,
And now I’m above.
Above the earth so high,
I now retire,
I look down on my boys,
And hope the best for them.
I will watch them grow,
Into successful men,
They have so much to look forward to,
A house, a wife, children.
They will mourn my death,
And cry tears of joy,
I will be remembered,
By my two boys.
My life wasn’t the best,
But it was all it could be,
I enjoyed every minute,
Right from their beginnings.
I wanted to end my life,
But God gave me theirs,
It was a sign from him,
That I should stay down there.
I have given and I have lost,
It was all for them,
I’ve always been a happy mother,
I never needed a man.
Now that I’m above,
I see everything I’ve done,
Some things I regret,
But it was all a lesson learned.
