A Dirty Limerick

Missing image
Here I sit, heavy-hearted
Ending the poem I started
To my great chagrin
Could not hold it in
'Stead of squeaking I sharted.

Author notes

Did you ever wonder what driviers thought about while driving down the road? This is what I thought about. For the unitiated sharted is a slang term for a fart that you need to wipe off after.

To the judge: I chose a limerick for humor.

Lol ! never heard of shart but I'm sure its in Viz! funny I love limericks !

    • Shart is apparently a fairly new addition to American slang. It is not one that someone normally uses in polite company. I am glad you enjoyed this.

Thank you very much. I am glad you enjoyed this. I am going to try to write more when work settles down. Being self-employed, I can assure you it is my boss' fault. The guy never lets up!!

Hahaha, this is complete win. I love that picture too. I don't rememeber the first time I heard the term but it was a long time ago. Figures, I really don't have any gal pals so I talk and joke like a boy.

I am glad you liked it. But, spitting coffee is a waste. i hope you licked it all up. I almost didnt put the definition of the word in. I thought everyone knew it. Kiwi didnt when I read it to her, so I put it in. I guess I am glad that I did.

Thank you very much for reading and commenting. I am glad you enjoyed the poem. I guess I was in a silly frame of mind when I was driving yesterday. I wrote the notes on the back on an envelope when I was on the interstate. I was not looking at the paper, so I could barely read it when i got back.
