Trick or Treat

Witches around the corner
Goblins at each house
Monsters creeping up behind you
Quiet as a mouse

Jack-o-Lanterns laughing
Sending chills down your spine
Skeletons with candy bags
Sitting down to dine

So many creatures at each house
And lining street after street
You blend in with them, race to a house
Shout, "Trick or Treat!"

Sending chills down your spine ... perhaps send
Shout, "Trick or Treat!" ... perhaps shouting

fun light-hearted read showing notably the poet blending in yet retaining her own personality :ç

    Hi Claire Bear!!!

Haven't commented in a long time! I loved it just like I envy all your other poems. I'll say...you've used the word "house" alot. First stanza made sense, but then you used it again in the third stanza, twice. You should work on that. A very good choice of backround too! Overall, great poem. You deserved to win an honorable mention.
