Turned Away x

My anger has often turned my Angel away,
For I have screamed and shouted for her to no longer stay.
For sometimes she has not protected me from sadness or pain,
And she has not always been there when I have screamed out her name.
But as my anger fades and my tears fall,
I have let her in again to show me the strength to cope with it all.
And I realise that she cannot stop me from experiencing this life’s cruel game,
But she can comfort me when I accept I am feeling too much pain.
