You’re everything in my lucid atmosphere-
And the love has scurried rampant and astray,
Crashing into my life just to disappear.
As pleas fade from a submission to your fears-
I lay down my head to sleep within dismay.
You’re everything in my lucid atmosphere.
Held hands are empty and starry eyes are clear-
Optimism crumbles as dreams begin to sway.
Crashing into my life just to disappear.
Without you, the whole thing loses color, m’dear.
There’s a hell on this earth and it’s called today.
You’re everything in my lucid atmosphere.
I’ve cried all these tears and still you don’t reappear-
My love has been battered, broken, shattered away,
You crashed into my life just to disappear.
I try to wash my hands of all of this and persevere,
Yet still I stomach your pride and attempt to convey-
That you’re everything in my lucid atmosphere,
And you crashed into my life just to disappear.

Vivid and well said. This is unique and lovely to read in a sad way.
I really liked the form as well; the two refrains were perfect.

This particular form is called a Villanalle, if you are interested. A fun form to write! Thank you for commenting, you felt just what I wanted the reader to feel!

Reading poetry like this ...
makes me so very sad. How well I can relate! But: you are too young, Jordan, to become bitter and disillusioned. Please never lose hope. NEVER! And write your poems. It is therapy. I will read.
