Seasons Change

Rain drops fall from a mournfull sky,
a silent weeping for a broken earth.
As weary summer dies for tragic autumn,
winter sits in waiting.

The golden warmth of day sets,
chilled by a cold dusks sorrow.
Aincent oak reaches bare limbs
yearning to snare the fickle moon,
catching only cruel darkness
from it turns to willow.

Emerald forests fall their glory
grown silent through harshest wisdom.
Blanketing soil in pirite tears,
changing to gray ash as death nears.

Dormant slumber cradles infant seeds,
small memories of seasons gone.
Held by earths broken heart,
lessons learned with hardships pain.

Autumn closes her troubled eyes,
as winter covers a tired sky.
All grows cold and white in eternal wait,
for waking spring to break the ice.

Author notes

This is not what it seems to be.

My poetry never follows the dictated pattern. So don't yell at me for it.
