barefoot in the grass
I stand before you
stripped of identity
no judgment passed
planted in the grass
not a tree
a tumbleweed
waiting for your winds to change
waiting...
considering the paths
for us to take
you look across
the valley of the shadows
I don't see it
but I hear a match
grass beneath your feet
engulfed in fire
planted firmly
before you
I'm waiting...

oh, I just love this one too. There's a lovely type of reality here that is very easy to fit into, wrap around myself. Thank you for taking the time to enter this contest. I wish you all the best.
