Mathematics (Lyrics)

All those long nights and the long division
Were only the beginning of my classmates' derision.
It's not my fault I don't have a left-brain disposition,
But I'd rather read Twilight than do the addition.

I thought I'd seen the worst after algebra one,
But by algebra two, I saw that I'd been outdone.
To be honest, geometry really wasn't all that bad
But the million proofs and conjectures made me sad.

Quadratic functions and logarithms never made sense at all
And the square root of negative one, I barely recall
I think I might've had the unit circle in braille
It was only because of my smarter friends I didn't fail.

But now I'm in math studies and there's barely work
(And now I don't have a teacher who's a total jerk)
Like half my friends are in calculus, but I don't care
Because I'm not the one drowning on a tangent of despair.

Please tell me what you think

I really like this, it's honest, real, and a little funny I would love to be able to hear the melody with it.
